Captions that keep up with you

Captuno adds animated, word-timed captions to your videos. It is made and run by Zews Agency.

What it does

Upload an MP4 or MOV up to 3 minutes long, pick one of 12 caption styles, and Captuno gives the video back with the captions burned in, plus a captions file (.srt) you can upload anywhere. It works for vertical videos (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok) and for widescreen YouTube videos.

How it works

Captuno listens to your video and writes down what's said, word by word, with the moment each word is spoken. The captions are then drawn onto the video so the highlight lands as you say each word.

  • In vertical videos the captions sit inside each app's safe area, away from the like and share buttons and the caption bar.
  • In widescreen videos they sit low in the frame.
  • Either way they move clear of any text already in your shot.
  • Speech in English, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish is supported. Captuno detects the language, or you can pick it.

Speech recognition and rendering run on computers we operate ourselves. Your video isn't sent to an outside AI service, and it is deleted automatically 7 days after it's processed.

What it costs

Every video gets a free preview with a watermark. When you like it, you pay to download the full-quality video and its captions file, either for that one video or with a pack of seconds that covers several. See pricing.
